Authentic movement is a practice of following the impulses of movement, stillness, and sound that arise in the body. Once given form through the creative process of art making and writing, these impulses become a compass which point to the direction of our soul's calling. Energetic Cleansing, Keene, NH Join us to learn and practice age old techniques to clean and clear your energetic body. While we all give much attention to taking care of our physical body, many of us are less aware of how to taking care of our energetic body. This is especially true if you have recently experienced ill health, stress, and/or trauma of some type. Inspired by several African and Native American energetic cleaning methods, we will carry out various types of energetic cleanings on each other. You will take away from this workshop specific information about how to do energetic cleanings on your own, for yourself, family and friends. During this 2 day workshop you will have the opportunity to create personal and collective rituals that speak to the meaning of your relationship through movement, storytelling, art making, writing, and spiritual practice. Altars and Ancestors at The Fried Egg Studio, Alstead, NH Many indigenous people say that what is needed most now is for us to create rituals which honor and acknowledge those who have come before us. Come join us as we make a sacred space to celebrate our ancestors through altar making. Using found objects, nature, copies of photographs, and other odds and ends we will arrange and rearrange our collected items to make forms that are pleasing and help us to re-member the wisdom of our elders. Our process will be multi-modal using movement, writing, mediation, silence, story telling, and sacred intention to listen and create from the source within.
